The Stoke-on-Trent South constituency was first created in 1950, and over the years has been through many changes in the area it covers.  It currently covers the southern part of Stoke-on-Trent, part of the Staffordshire Moorlands and part of Stafford.  The wards covered by the constituency include:

The constituency is represented by Labour MP Dr Allison Gardner, who took the seat from the Conservatives at the 2024 General Election.
